My first pair of heels was an ultra-stylish plastic slide. Sparkly, perfectly pink and ideal for princess dress-up. Designed by the fashion executives of a famous toy manufacturer; available on Aisle 9 at the local Toys”R”Us.
No longer a toddler and into adolescence; a favorite pastime was playing dress-up in Mom’s closet. I don’t know about you, sister-friend, but I loved slipping into Mom’s shoes. I’d go for a walk on my pretend red-carpet; wobbling ankles with the high heel slipping off my foot and smacking our plush carpet with a thud. I wasn’t walking gracefully. But, I was proudly strutting in high heels.
Long gone are the days of the princess dress-up slides and perfecting my signature walk in My Mom’s Sunday-best heels. Today, I’ve got my own wardrobe of beloved shoes by some of my favorite designers.
High heels are a symbol of a woman’s power and femininity. Heels can be a girl’s best friend; helping her stand taller, appear slimmer, and exude a higher level of confidence. However, walking in high heels can be a little daunting, specifically if you’re not used to it. Don’t worry though, learning to walk fearlessly in high heels just takes a little practice.
I have been assigned to coach women through the process of walking fearlessly in high heels. So, come on … walk with me and let’s be, “Fearless In High Heels.”
